As much as we as a group like to promote quality Father/Child time, some things force us to change plans. COVID-19 is sadly one of those things.

With Houston, Katy, Harris and Ft. Bend counties all limiting the size of gatherings, and closing schools and other public gathering spaces, our schedule had to change. The Katori officers had a conference call to discuss our calendar for the remainder of the year, and we agree to make the following changes:

  • The Father/Daughter dance originally scheduled for March 28 will be rescheduled to a Saturday night sometime in the Fall (October or November) after the start of school. If you have tickets and wish to have a refund, please contact Don Harper to discuss arrangements.
  • The Brackenridge Recreational Complex tent camp scheduled for April 17-19, 2020 has been canceled and refunds will be issued.
  • McKinney Falls State Park currently scheduled for May 8-10, 2020 has been canceled.

I am sad to say that we will have no more scheduled events for the rest of the school year.  We prefer to keep you and your children safe and ready to come back next year.

Plans for 2020-2021

Speaking of next year, the officers met tonight to start working on the calendar for next year.  We are mindful that for some, these are going to be some trying times, and we want to keep it so that Katori is something that will be fun and low stress.  With that in mind, there will be some changes to the schedule next year, but hopefully a few surprises as well.
The officers are meeting next week to hopefully finalize the schedule for 2020-2021.

Keep safe, watch out for those around you, and wash your hands!
