Huntsville is another can’t miss tent camp. Conveniently located outside Huntsville, Texas, and just off I-45, it is easy to get to, and a great camp for kids. In years past, my kids have enjoyed riding bikes, hiking, fishing, and just being a kid. The park does offer canoe and paddle boat rentals for an additional fee of $20 an hour. But, if you are like me – the only one paddling, then an hour is all I can handle anyway. So load your gear up, and join us for another great camp out at Huntsville State Park. There is a park entrance fee payable at the gate (separate from tent reservation fee), pricing listed below.

When: February 22-24
Where: Huntsville State Park
Cost: $15 per person
Park Entrance Fee: $7 per person, per day, over the age of 13 (kids 12 and under free)
Park Website: https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/huntsville
